I got some advice on the old chimney - it would be a very big job to accomplish, and probably hellishly expensive for me. So I'm going to leave well enough alone. So that means I can go ahead and do any painting/wallpapering that I want to do without worrying about having to re-do or fix later.
I'm in the process of working on the next wall in the library and I'll have pictures up later today.
I also will have some pictures of the cupboards in the kitchen - I'm subbing out the current hardware for something I like more. Even without painting the cupboards yet they look better.

I wonder what is behind that "square" in your wall.....? I've heard of people putting things in walls prior to closing up holes; like newspapers and other trinkets of the time era of when it was done.....and of course there is always the "dead body" thing.....hahahaha Tell me, do you hear odd noises in your house at night? lol (should I sign this anonymously? lol
